This teacup was made of fine Jingdezhen porcelain, wheel-thrown and shaved translucent thin. After a quick glazing, it was fixed in a wood-fired kiln to allow the ash and small heat fluctuations chemically react to the glaze to create a unique color patterning and a cup that will stain and craze with use and age.
