A lighter late season green tea, this is a traditional Maofeng to meet all of your Summer needs. With a slightly bent leaf shape, a clear yellow-green soup, and a delicate but crisply floral flavor, this is affordable but exceptional version of Yellow Mountain’s most famous green tea. Wok-fried, cold-kneaded, and finished over charcoal, there could not be a more standard Maofeng. Although not the most famous growing region, the local “Da Yezhong”heirloom cultivar is also present in Xinxikou Township. Click here to learn more about Maofeng.
We recommend you try this Maofeng cold brewed or sun-brewed in your favorite water bottle. This is a delicate, refreshing green tea that is not afraid to be over-steeped. This particular Maofeng does not offer a lot in way of layered complexity.
