Southern Frontier Release

With all the Green and White tea Pre-sale orders shipped out, the time has come to share the first fruits of our recent southern sourcing trips. We visited multiple tea growing areas in Yunnan's Xishuangbana and Lincang. Multiple cakes are already being pressed. For now, we want to share some intial treats that can be enjoyed loose.

Touchstone: An Elite Maocha Sampler is our first ever completely price-transparent Puer sampler, covering four growing areas.

Sent-Down: Dianhong Sampler brings together five red teas from Lincang, Yunnan into a themed commenorative box.

2013 Puple Bud Liubao and Roasted Liubao are now available as stand-alone products.

Smoked Lapsang

Carrying on a dying tradition, the Zhang family in the Masu Village of Tongmuguan make a traditionally smoked black tea redolent with fading traditions.

At the peak of Wudong Mountain, core region of the Dancong Oolong teas, lives a young prodigy making some of the best Wudong Dancong Oolong he have ever had the honor of sampling.

Fuding White Tea

Obssessed with quality from field to production to storage, our friend Qiu in Fuding carries some of the best white tea we have ever tasted.

Master Wei

High in the mountains outside the Phoenix Village, Master Wei cultivates and produces serveral varieties of Dancong oolong. As a farmer turned producer, he has an intimate understanding of growing, picking, and roasting tea

We are committed to knowing as much as we can about each of the farms we work with.  We visit every farm, spend time with the producers, talk with the pickers, ask about farming techniques and local histories.
