This is a limited offer of Mingqian dragonwell green tea produced by our new friend Little Wang and her family in the Manjuelong Village of Hangzhou's West Lake Area. Their tea plots are primarily located on the slopes of the Baihefeng, or the White Crane Peak which lies between Lion's Peak and the Running Tiger Spring.
The 108 cultivar is a sub-cultivar of Dragonwell 43, created in the 1990s, little Wang's grandparents planted a lot of this new cultivar on their land. While its popularity in the domestic market underperformed expectations, a lot of farmers reverted to the more popular 43, but the Wangs persisted in cultivating the new 108.
These teas are different from Longjing #43 in that there is little green bean or roasted chestnut aroma, instead every infusion is a bouquet of sweet smelling flowers. This tea really breaks the mold of the classic Longjing archetype and showcases a lot of the latent sweetness found in Dragon Well. While it only provides 4 or 5 brews (in opposed to the 6 constantly provided by the 43 or the Qunti Zhong), those 5 brews will change everything you know about longjing.
These are the highest quality mingqian dragonwell teas that we source every year, and we are excited for this opportunity to share such highly sought after teas.
Each heat-sealed package contains 50 grams of premium tea.

The #108 is like a longjing and a Taiwanese high mountain oolong got together and had a baby! Rich, buttery flowers with a lingering sugar sweetness.
