Taoshu Community

The Taoshu Community (or Peach Tree Community) is a cooperative that has both collective and individual land holdings in the Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of South Western Hubei province. They specialize in local varietals of high-elevation green and black teas.

I've already reordered this tea once and brewed many times. Through those it quickly became one of my favorite Dancong to brew. It's on the lighter side of roast and dark notes for me, instead, bright fruity-citrusy and floral aromas truly shine through without being overly vegetable-like. It's also very affordable, which is a nice bonus.

The form is really interesting; it's a nice white tea with a milky flavor

An outstanding white tea, instantly one of my favorite teas to drink daily. A refreshing amount of fruit flavors on a smooth and light tea, delicious.

In my country the Netherlands we're experiencing a (super)heatwave as it called and it is hot extremely hot. I'm taking a little bit of this delicious tea to work in my travel set to drink it in the middle of the afternoon, when the heat is really severe, on the terrace of our restaurant and the effect of this tea that it has on my body in this heat is absolutely amazing. It's not only really delicious and powerful but it cools my body which is amazing and I never experienced with any other tea before. Taste five stars, cooling effect 10 stars!

Leaves are very compressed but expand well in enough heat of for example a clay pot.

Leather, antique woods, bit of earth, pancake syrup (butterscotch), clay, dried paint, vanilla caramel.

Sweet, smooth, very clean, vanilla note that reminds of certain fu bricks. Very creamy tea. Simple daily drinker for sure. Will also give this a boil with a hint of salt. Price/quality ratio is good. Happy i went for a full brick.
