This tea is substantial, while still offering the delicacy, pine needle shape, pale liquor and long pale leaves that can be expected from a master that has been in the game for two decades.
This is one of the best versions of what has recently become one of China's favorite green teas. It takes' its name (Anji White Tea) not from any unique processing method, but from the dull green color of the fresh leaves that are used to produce it. A whole series of cultivars have been developed over the last two decades to consistently deliver the pale leaf color you will find after brewing up this tea. Anji County's Baicha has become one of the most popular gift teas in China, and this late March pick from the Jiang Family is one of the best you will find.
This is a green tea where everyone should try a lower temperature (80-90°C) at least once to unlock the sweeter fruity notes that may fade when conventionally brewed. Just like our Huangshan Maofeng or Golden Green, this is a light, refressing green tea that is very suited to sun-brewing or cold-brewing.
