We've long since toyed with the idea of releasing a variety tong. Why double down on a single cake when you can try them all? While this bundle won't be wrapped in bamboo leaves like a classic tong, it will be discounted like a tong! We will also offer the bundle in 25 gram sample increments for the purists who can't abide dragon balls.
This year, we have fallen down the rabbit hole of blending puer. After spending several years learning about these teas, these mountains, their aging trajectory, their seasonal differences, we decided we knew enough to start playing around with them. We blended teas together to create heavier hitting hybrids that deliver more balanced flavors, more robust sessions, and better value for your pocket.
These teas all come from farmers we know, from gardens we have visited, and even from trees we have climbed or leaves we have helped bring down the mountain. The gardens span the breadth of Yunnan, from deep in Eastern Yunnan, just 6km from Laos, to eastern Xishuang Banna where we could see the mountains of Myanmar, from above the clouds of Jingmai Mountain, and the mineral sweet gardens of Lincang, we are proud to offer each and every one of this year's raw puer teas.
